Our story

Milestones in the history of the Unione Group

1996 - The first steps in the real estate market

The history of the Unione Group began with the foundation of Unione-C Ltd. in 1996. The group’s activities started with the rental of the first premises purchased on Andrássy út. Over the years, the portfolio has grown considerably, and today Unione-C owns 11 premises on Andrássy Road and several other premises in the capital.

In 2003, the Unione Group acquired the portfolio of Bonbon Hemingway Ltd., which comprises 21 different properties. Prominent among these is a retail space on Váci Street, currently used by the cosmetics brand L’Occitane.

In 2004, the Unione Group acquired the ownership of Gastron Vendéglátóipari Rt., which included 22 premises in Győr and 3 in Budapest. With this acquisition, the Group also secured a significant presence in rural regions.

Ten years after the Unione bought the Clark Ádám Square in Buda, the iconic Hotel Clark Budapest, a UNESCO World Heritage site, has opened. The construction of this luxury hotel required engineering precision and creativity, and today it has become one of Budapest’s most outstanding hotels.

Unione, together with its partners, completed the HillSide Offices office building in 2018, located in the XII district of Budapest, next to MOM Park, on the edge of the vibrant business and residential area.

In December 2021, YAMA BUDAPEST opened, an experiential gastronomy centre for contemporary gastronomy that puts the restaurant experience at its heart. The Asian-fusion restaurant is located on the ground floor of one of the most beautiful buildings in the neoclassical Liptov City, close to the Basilica.

Unione acquired the Family Center Szombathely shopping centre in 2022. With 28 shops and seasonal stands, the property is located in the heart of the largest retail location in Vas county and is one of the most popular shopping destinations in the area.

Melea – The Health Concept in Sárvár opened its doors in 2024. The unique hotel focuses on holistic health promotion and quality of life improvement, taking the concept of health-conscious tourism to a new level.
